Lee Tregonning - Director of Football
Originally from Wales, Lee brings unmatched experience in youth soccer coaching and development across BC. A former player at Cardiff City, Luton Town, and a member of the Welsh national youth teams, he transitioned successfully into coaching and technical leadership soon after arriving in Canada in 2008.
Lee has held key roles with leading organizations, including Vancouver Whitecaps FC (Residential and REX programs), BC Soccer, Mountain United FC, North Shore Girls FC, and Burnaby FC—where he most recently served as Director of Player & Coach Development. Throughout his career, Lee has earned a reputation for developing national-level talent, promoting inclusivity, and guiding both players and coaches along high-performance pathways.
Tom Flanagan - Technical Director
Tom brings over seventeen years of dedication and expertise to Okanagan United FC, where he has become a key figure in player and coach development. Since joining the club in 2009, Tom has played a crucial role in its growth, developing a deep understanding of the club's various streams and associated development models. His commitment to fostering a love for soccer is reflected in his work mentoring coaches, implementing structured training curriculums, and providing opportunities for youth to succeed both on and off the field. Tom is highly respected across the province for his years of service, particularly through his work with BC Soccer as a Learning Facilitator and UBC Okanagan. Born and raised in Kelowna, he values the sense of community the club fosters and is dedicated to its continued growth, ensuring players and coaches carry their passion for soccer beyond their time with the club.
Chris Morgan - Assistant Technical Director
Chris is the Assistant Technical Director at Okanagan United FC, bringing over 20 years of coaching experience from Ireland and Canada. Since arriving in Kelowna, he has quickly become a key part of the club, supporting player development, coaching in school academies, and leading coach education workshops. His career includes coaching youth and senior teams in Belfast, directing school academies in Fort St. John and Grande Prairie, and serving as Head Coach for NorthWestern Polytechnic’s college soccer programs.
Logan Ellis - Grass Roots Technical Lead
Grassroots Technical Lead | Club Goalkeeping Coach | BCSPL Head Coach
Logan brings a diverse coaching background to Okanagan United FC, serving as the club’s Grassroots Technical Lead, Club Goalkeeping Coach, and a BCSPL Head Coach. A Calgary native, Logan has experience coaching elite-level teams in the Alberta Player Development League (APDL) and holds multiple coaching certifications.
A former U SPORTS athlete with UBC Okanagan, Logan’s insight into the full player pathway—from grassroots to university—supports his holistic approach to development. He leads programming for U5–U12 players, mentors volunteer coaches, and delivers specialized training to goalkeepers across all levels of the club.
Andy Peters - Staff Coach
Andy Peters is a former Okanagan United youth player and a graduate of the club’s Junior Coach Development Program. A keen student of the game, he is passionate about developing his coaching skills and pursuing formal accreditation. In his role as staff coach, Andy supports the full-time technical team across all programs, contributing wherever needed to ensure a positive player experience. His energy, enthusiasm, and dedication make him a valued part of the Okanagan United coaching staff.
Pacen Vandermeer - Staff Coach
Pacen is a member of Okanagan United’s Senior Men’s team with a passion for the game and player development. As an enthusiastic and committed coach, he supports the full-time technical staff in delivering programs across the grassroots and select levels. Pacen also serves as an assistant coach with the BCSPL boys team, where he applies his playing experience to help guide athletes at the highest youth level. His dedication to both playing and coaching makes him a valued contributor to the Okanagan United community.
