Okangan United Announces Strategic Partnership with NextPlay

Okanagan United Football Club is proud to announce a new three-year strategic partnership with NextPlay, an international football pathway and development organization based in Portugal.

This partnership enhances Okanagan United’s long-term development model by adding a carefully managed international option for players, families, and coaches — while remaining fully aligned with the Club’s core values, training philosophy, and commitment to responsible player development.

NextPlay specializes in organizing international drafts, residential placements, tours, and development experiences across Europe. Through this partnership, eligible Okanagan United players may choose to explore these opportunities based on readiness, interest, and availability.

Participation in all NextPlay programs is completely optional and does not replace or alter Okanagan United’s domestic development pathway.

“This partnership gives players perspective without pressure,” said Lee Tregonning, Executive Director of Football. “It connects our local environment to the international game in a practical, responsible way.”

Further information sessions, draft events, and pathway briefings will be communicated to members as opportunities arise.
